Keep the Dream Alive at Tswalu

7/1/2020

Tswalu EcoLive is an exciting collaboration with WildEarth, the interactive virtual safari platform that streams thrilling wildlife action direct from the field, in real-time, from game reserves across Africa.

Using cutting-edge technology, riveting live footage is brought to you from Tswalu Private Game Reserve by one of its experienced field guides and the WildEarth camera crew. Working via a director in a control room, the camera moves between Tswalu's live feed and three or four other stationary feeds to create a seamless multi-feed virtual game drive in the South Africa's southern Kalahari.

Tswalu is home to a number of elusive, rare or endangered species such as pangolin, aardvark, aardwolf, brown hyena, and wild dog. It's also known as one of the best places in southern Africa to see cheetah in the wild due to its wide, open spaces. Tswalu's meerkats steal the limelight often thanks to their gregarious nature and amusing antics, and footage abounds from the reserve's two habituated colonies where our human presence does not disrupt the important business of grooming and foraging.
