Sample 10: An Undiscovered Gem - On Safari in Zambia

Day 1

Arrive at Lusaka Airport, where you will be met and transferred by shared charter flight to Shumba Camp in the Kafue National Park.

Days 1-4

Spend three nights at Shumba Camp in a Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, all non-premium brand beverages, activities, the services of a professional guide, laundry, and park fees). * From August through October, a complimentary hot air balloon excursion over the Busanga Plains is included.

Day 4

This morning you will be collected and transferred by shared charter flight to Lusaka Airport, from where you will connect by shared charter flight to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa National Park. From Mfuwe airstrip, transfer by game-drive vehicle to Chinzombo Lodge.

Days 4-7

Spend three nights at Chinzombo Lodge in a Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, drinks, game -viewing activities, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).

Chinzombo Camp is located on 60 acres of private land, on a bend of Zambia’s Luangua River,  overlooking the South Luangwa National Park. Designed by award-winning architects, Chinzombo brings luxury, style and elegance to the Luangwa Valley.
 
Guests are accommodated in six expansive villas set under gigantic ancient shade trees. Each has a private pool, cooled sleeping area, spacious bathroom and Wi-Fi, along with a sweeping deck with stunning views over the game-rich bushveld. The villas are connected to the main communal area via a winding footpath through the trees. There one can relax on a shady deck overlooking the Luangua, or enjoy the exercise and yoga area, spa facilities and plunge pool.
 
The game-viewing in this region of the South Luangwa National Park is excellent, with a beautiful landscape of Ebony woodland and open grass plains. The area is famous for leopard, lion, and giraffe sightings. Elephants often cross the Luangwa River flowing just in front of camp. Activities at Chinzombo focus on game-viewing drives in open vehicles to take advantage of the abundant wildlife, and guests also have the option to enjoy a guided nature walk. 

Day 7

Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter flight to Lusaka, connecting by shared charter flight to Jeki in the Lower Zambezi National Park. From Jeki it is a one hour game-drive and boat transfer to Anabezi Tented Camp.

Day 7-10

Spend three nights at Anabezi Tented Camp in a Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, drinks, game -viewing activities, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).

Day 10

Today you will be collected from Anabezi and transferred by shared charter flight to Lusaka International Airport. From this point, you will depart under your own arrangements.
