Sample 7: The Classic Serengeti / Mara Safari
Arrive Arusha Kilimanjaro International Airport under your own arrangements.
You will be met by a representative of our local partners (just look for a sign with your name on it as you exit customs into the public part of the terminal) who will transfer you by private vehicle to Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Spend one night at Arusha Coffee Lodge in one Plantation Room, with dinner and breakfast included.
This morning you will be collected by your private vehicle and guide and transferred to Mpingo Ridge in the Tarangire National Park (2 hours to the park gate, and then 1.5 hours game drive to camp).
Spend two nights at Mpingo Ridge Tented Lodge in one Tented Room, on a full board basis (including accommodation, all meals, non-premium brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, laundry, camping fees and concession fees). You will enjoy game drives with your own private vehicle and guide.
Depart camp early this morning with your private guide/vehicle and a packed lunch for a full day safari to the Ngorongoro Crater. This memorable journey will take you off the beaten path across the western portion of the Tarangire National Park, and then through the scenically beautiful Lake Manyara National Park at the western edge of Africa's Great Rift Valley, famous for its flamingos and tree-climbing lions. You will also pass through remote subsistence farming areas surrounding the Parks, showcasing Tanzania’s incredible cultural diversity (the country is home to 129 ethnic groups and is the most linguistically diverse country in Africa). The journey ends at the base of the Ngorongoro Crater in the late afternoon, in time for sundowners.
Spend two nights at Gibb's Farm in one Cottage, on a full board basis (including breakfast, lunch and dinner; farm based and local cultural activities; and unlimited WiFi).
Early this morning your private guide will take you on a "Crater Descent" into the Ngorongoro Crater to experience the beauty and abundant wildlife of one of Africa's most impressive natural wonders.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera on earth, and also one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, roughly 25,000 large mammals (including the "Big Five") wander the plains, lakes and forests of ‘the land that time forgot". The saline waters of Lake Magadi attract both the lesser and the greater flamingo, with flocks of several thousand forming when the lake is low.
This morning your private guide will transfer you to Manyara Airstrip (roughly 1.5 hours) where you will bid him farewell. You will be collected and transferred by shared charter flight to Kogatende Airstrip for Kuria Hills Camp.
Spend three nights at Kuria Hills Lodge in one Suite, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, selected house wines and spirits, local beers, soft drinks, juices and water, concession fees (subject to change), laundry, scheduled shared game drives, and return airstrip transfers from Kogatende).
Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter aircraft to Tarime Airstrip, departing at 9:00am and arriving at 11:25am. You will be met and transferred by air conditioned mini-bus to Migori Airstrip (crossing the border from Tanzania into Kenya), from where you will be transferred by shared charter aircraft to the Maasai Mara for Mara Expedition Camp, departing at 12:15pm and arriving at 12:45pm. You will enjoy lunch upon arrival at camp
Spend three nights at Mara Expediton Camp in one Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, scheduled wildlife viewing activities, a day excursion into the Maasai Mara Reserve, all meals, laundry, and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (excluding premium brands and champagne).
Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter aircraft to Wilson Airport (one hour).
You will be met and transferred by private vehicle to the Four Points Hotel at Nairobi International Airport.
Spend the early evening relaxing at the Four Points Nairobi Airport Hotel in one Standard Room.
Later this evening a representative will meet you at the Four Point Hotel and transfer you to the International Terminal, where you will be assissted through check-in and security, and to the boarding gate for your departure flight.
From this point you will depart under your own arrangements.
