Vaccination Program Accelerates in South Africa

This weekend, the South African government will review its Level 4 restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19, with a general expectation that the measures will be extended by another two weeks. In tandem with this, there is good news on the vaccine front as more doses arrive in the country – residents 50 and older are currently being vaccinated and, as of July 15th, those 35-50 will become eligible as the country strives to reach a distribution target of 250,000 doses administered per day.
