The iconic Cape Wheel is closed temporarily for relocation to a spot close to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront's boardwalk that will offer views of Robben Island, as well as the city bowl and Table Mountain.

We are delighted to report that the only country in "Safari Africa" that still requires Covid testing is Rwanda, where concerns remain about the potential impact of Covid-19 on the country's critically endangered population of mountain gorillas. South Africa has dropped all Covid-related entry requirements, while all other countries only require proof of vaccination (two shots of Pfizer or Moderna, or one shot of J&J). Travelers should take their original CDC vaccine card, as well as a vaccine certificate with QR code that can be generated Here.

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway annual maintenance closure dates have changed and the funicular will be closed from 25 July until 28 August 2022, instead of 19 July until 7 August 2022. As an alternative, weather permitting, guides will take guests up Signal Hill for spectacular views over the city and along the Atlantic seaboard.
