Franschhoek Bastille Festival - 17 to 18 July: Franschhoek will be celebrating its centuries-old French Huguenot heritage with a wonderful feast of food, wine and entertainment.

The Western Cape Wine Festival - 30 July to 1 August: The Wine Festival to be held at the Camps Bay High School introduces vintages from all wine producing regions, including Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, Robertson, Hermanus, Elgin and Elim.

District Six - 15 to 17 July: The play District Six is a love story set against the forced removal of the Cape Town community by the apartheid regime in the 1960's. Artscape Theatre.

Hermanus Times Calf Festival - 5-9 August: An annual festival to celebrate the arrival of the Southern Right Whales. A variety of productions and festivities are planned to suit all ages and tastes, including a Wine & Food Fair.

RMB Winex 2010 - 19 to 20 August This wine festival showcases South Africa's premier wines, as well as wines from around the world. Cape Town Convention Centre.
