Welgevonden ReserveThe Welgevonden Reserve is a scenic 90,000 acre wildlife reserve in the Waterberg Mountains, just three hours' drive north of Johannesburg. The reserve is home to 50 species of mammal, including the "Big Five", and 250 species of bird. The reserve's mountainous location makes the Welgevonden one of South Africa's most picturesque and temperate wildlife areas and, being malaria free, it is an attractive option for families with small children, or others who would prefer not to take anti-malaria medication. | | Share |
