We went from Johannesburg to Livingstone (Zambia) for Victoria Falls, then to Botswana's Duma Tau, a detour to !Nxamaseri Lodge for a visit to Tsodilo Hills (absolutely worth it), and the back to Little Vumbura (where we had one of the best guide and trackers in all Africa). Then to Chief's Island and Mombo, followed by stays at Little Kuala Dessert Lodge in the Sossusvlei of Namibia, Swakopmund, !Doro Nawas (Twyfelfontein but also desert elephants and villages), and then to Serra Cafema. A final swing through Cape Town (Cape Grace, perhaps the best hotel we have stayed in in our many foreign travels), thence to Grootbos and north to Bushman's Kloof. Bushman's Kloof is a gem: the best bushman pictographs, a great spa, some animals for an evening land cruiser ride, and a great place to relax before the 20+ hour flights home.
