Birth Certificates for Minors
While official verbiage may state that children under 18 years of age travelling to South Africa will no longer be required to produce a birth certificate to immigration officials, we strongly suggest that families continue to obtain notarized copies of birth certificates for minors as the new protocol is being applied inconsistently and one could be denied aircraft boarding or entry to the country without the formerly mandated documentation.
Yellow Fever in East Africa
All passengers travelling between Tanzania and Kenya must carry a valid Yellow Fever Certificate. Previously, a yellow fever certificate was only required for passengers passing from Kenya into Tanzania, but now it is a requirement in both directions.
