The Saxon's Eighteen05 Bar has opened - a fitting showcase for the Scotch Whisky House's finest, and rarest, selections. The Saxon's Villa Royale has also recently opened as a private, fully serviced retreat close to the main hotel. Chef Luke Dale-Roberts will open a pop-up restaurant at The Saxon this month. Luke is an award winning chef and creator of The Test Kitchen and The Pot Luck Club in Cape Town.

The 18 elegant suites of Kirkman's Kamp are receiving a touch-up with new French doors and upgraded bathrooms.

Equine enthusiasts of all ages and riding levels have the opportunity to enjoy a bareback "Swimming in the Ocean with Horses" activity at &Beyond Benguerra Island.

Sanctuary Chief's Camp, Okavango Delta, Botswana, is being upgraded to include larger guest pavilions featuring a private dining area, air conditioning, a terrace, plunge pool, large bathtub and folding glass doors. The main area of camp will also be refurbished and extended, and a dedicated pizza deck installed.

As a result of Wilderness Safaris' innovative and ongoing solar conversion program, Vumbura Plains in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, has become the 11th Wilderness Safaris camp to operate 100% on solar power. While the investment required for solar conversion is considerable, this move towards more responsible systems is resulting in significant savings in fuel consumption and a major reduction in carbon emissions.

Also in Botswana's Okavango Delta, Mombo Camp's renovations have been put on hold until the latter part of 2016, so stay tuned.

A new take on an old favorite - a traditional Cape Town city tour can now be rounded off with a sunset sail around Table Bay on a traditionally designed 58 foot gaff-rigged schooner. Start the afternoon with a trip to the summit of Table Mountain. Return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, enjoying a walk through the Company Gardens. Stroll through Greenmarket Square, and then head to the Waterfront for your sunset sail, enjoying sparkling wines and soft drinks as you take in the beauty of "The Fairest Cape".
