Ownership of MalaMala Game Reserve, Sabi Sand Reserve, South Africa, has been successfully restored to the claimant local community after a prolonged period of uncertainty. Post restitution arrangements allow for the co-management of this world renowned eco-tourism business and property. MalaMala will be managed and operated in a partnership between the founder and previous owner of the MalaMala Game Reserve, Mr Michael Rattray, Mr Stephen Saad, the owner of the adjacent Kirkman's Kamp and members of the Nwandlamhari Communal Property Association.

The Agreement ensures the seamless continuation of this unique and internationally acclaimed wildlife property – recently ranked second of the top fifty "safari parks" (games reserves) in Africa – while benefiting the local community financially, through job creation and educational opportunities. Importantly, there will be no discernable change to MalaMala, its staff, or the exceptional levels of service, hospitality and world class wildlife experience synonymous with this unique and special property.
