Lodge Developments in Kruger Park
1/1/2008
Over the past couple of years there have been some exciting new additions and refurbishments in the luxury lodge market in Kruger Park.
Singita
Singita Lebombo and Sweni Lodge are located in a private concession in the south-east region of Kruger Park. Lebombo is poised high over the dramatic landscape. Glass-walled suites feature cutting-edge contemporary style mixed with elements of nature. By contrast Sweni Lodge, featuring a combination of dark wood infused with the colors of the earth, is situated on the edge of the Sweni River. Click here for photos and additional information.
MalaMala
The new Rattray's Lodge on MalaMala is the epitome of regal colonial safari-style. MalaMala is part of a conservation gene pool that covers 5.5 million acres of land. The reserve supports a variety of habitat types: dense riverine forest, acacia-combretum bushveld, open grassland and rocky outcrops, each sustaining different plant and animal species. Londolozi
Londolozi is one of the original pioneering lodges of the ecotourism industry, and now consists of Tree Camp, Pioneer Camp, Granite Private Suites, Varty Camp and Founders Camp. A unique feature is "Londolozi Wild" which offers a powerful new dimension of wilderness exploration.
