Benguerra Island Market Day

Benguerra Lodge, Mozambique, held the first ever Benguerra Island Market Day in July. The project was initiated as a means to stimulate the local Island economy. There was plenty on offer - from baskets and wooden carved figurines to freshly caught fish and Capulana material - which delighted residents and guests. The market's initial success ensures that the venture will be repeated regularly on the island.
