The Victoria Falls Hotel in 1904 - The year it originally opened and as it is today

Zimbabwe's historic Victoria Falls Hotel is enjoying an extensive facelift. Improvements will include the addition of flat screen televisions, mini bars, new feather pillows, duvets and linen in each of the 161 rooms and suites. The Livingstone Room, the hotel's flagship dining venue, will be given a new verandah and entrance from the central courtyard. Stanley's Bar will be moved to allow for more seating capacity on the Terrace. The swimming pool area will receive a covered pavilion. Complete refurbishment of the tennis courts is under way, as well as a refreshing of furnishings and décor in the main lounge, Bulawayo Room and e-lounge. Those travelling to the Victoria Falls Hotel will enjoy most of these new amenities by mid-2013.
