Namib Desert Blooms
3/1/2021
With all the bad weather news of late, we're pleased to report that southern Africa has experienced a very healthy rainy season, with moderately above-average rainfall levels. This bodes very well for the coming "safari season", and especially for rainfall-dependent natural wonders like the Victoria Falls and Okavango Delta.
As an indication of what to expect, we're pleased to share some once-in-a-decade photos of the Namib Desert in full bloom - the giant red dunes of Sossusvlei perfectly framed by green grass, rare desert flowers adding sparks of color, and the ephemeral Tsauchab River flowing for the first time in several years. Courtesy of our friends at Little Kulala Lodge!
