Sabyinyo guests had the extraordinary privilege recently of seeing a newborn gorilla baby and its mother emerge from the bushes just after it was born. The mother had previously lost her hand in a poacher's snare, but she is a devoted, capable and loving parent. Also at Sabyinyo, a team from Gorilla Doctors successfully removed a snare from an infant gorilla, reinforcing the need for ongoing conservation programs in Rwanda.
