In late November, the governments of Zambia and Zimbabwe introduced the KAZA Univisa that will allow travelers to pay once for one visa that will allow them to move freely across the borders between Zimbabwe and Zambia for 30 Days, and even allows for a day-trip to Botswana. The combined visa is available for US$ 50 and can be purchased upon arrival in either country. To date the Univisa process has been working smoothly and we would recommend them to Classic Africa travelers visiting both Zimbabwe and Zambia during their safari. The World Health Organization has recently declared that Zambia is not a Yellow Fever risk, so we await formal announcements from the South African and Botswana authorities confirming that evidence of Yellow Fever inoculations will no longer be required. Stay tuned for more information.

Drone Update: It was announced recently that the South African Civil Aviation Authority has banned the use of all drones and more detailed legislation is pending. Hopefully other southern African countries will follow suit, as the practice could turn into a distracting nuisance for safari-goers.
