Classic Africa "Safari Evenings"

Classic Africa recently held two safari evenings to meet and thank our past clients. Those from New York and New Jersey were invited to the Princeton Club in Manhattan on September 24th. Those from Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island were invited to our home in Connecticut, Highveld Farm, on September 25th. It was such a pleasure to finally put faces to names, and enlightening to have so many like-minded people with a passion for safari together.

Pierre and Margaret were delighted to be joined by Tim Farrell, Dave van Smeerdijk, Brandon Kemp and Blessing Munyenyiwe, from Wilderness Safaris - all of whom began their adventures in tourism as safari guides in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe respectively. We were also pleased to have Melony Sabiti join us from the elegant Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town.

After cocktails and hors d'oeuvres we settled down for a presentation given by Pierre about new and exciting travel destinations in southern Africa. He was followed by Dave who discussed eco-tourism and its benefits to the places and people of the region. The presentations were followed by more cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and stimulating conversation.
