The Photographer's Safari

The Photographer's Safari combines two of the top game-viewing areas in southern Africa, with unrivalled opportunities for "close-up" shots of Africa's most iconic species (including the "Big Five"). Whether from open safari vehicles or purpose-built hides, participants will see and photograph an abundance of savanna wildlife in the contrasting habitats of Botswana's Tuli Enclave and South Africa's Kruger National Park.

The safari includes two full day photographic workshops, with personal instruction from a professional photographer. Non-photograhers too will have ample opportunity to see and experience the African bush on day and night game-drives, with the option to enjoy walking safaris, mountain biking, and even horse-riding.

The Photographer's Safari is very flexible, with two departures per week, and availability at the properties being the only constraint. This safari is also family friendly, with children older than 6 welcome.

Days 1 to 4: Tulie Enclave (Mashatu Main Camp)

On arrival at the Johannesburg Airport (before 10am), you will be met and transferred by shared charter flight to Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana's Tuli Block (roughly 1.5 hours). Guests also have the option to participate in some of the many adventure activities that Mashatu has to offer (at additional cost) - horseback safaris, mountain bike safaris, walking safaris, and/or cultural safaris.

The highlight of your stay at Mashatu will be two days of photographic tuition with a professional photographer, with each workshop customised to photographers' level of expertise and interests.
