Pack with a purpose
Pack for a Purpose (PfaP), is a program established by Wilderness Safaris guest, Rebecca Rothney, in 2010. Click here to learn more about the program. Guests can check here for the camp/lodge where they will be staying, or for any projects in the country that they are visiting, to see what supplies they can bring to the more remote, rural areas of Africa. The supplies can be left at the lodge, or in some cases, delivered in person to the community project itself. The latest camps to joining the initiative are Magashi and Bisate in Rwanda.

Wilderness Air Luggage Update
Good news! Wilderness Air (servicing Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia) is in the process of changing its baggage limitations on light charter aircraft to allow for larger bags with a solid base, including wheels and collapsible handle. The maximum dimensions of bags will increase to 11.8 inches wide x 13.8 inches high x 27.5 inches long. The maximum weight will remain 20 kg (44 lb.) per person. There is no change to the type of bag allowed when flying with Wilderness Air Namibia, due to the aircraft utilized, and no other charter companies are currently considering expanding their luggage allowance. The changes may be implemented as early as mid-November, but please stay tuned for the official go-ahead.
