Africa Scholarships

For over 20 years, thanks largely to Dr Keith Lloyd, Old Member and Honorary Fellow, two students from Africa have annually received full scholarships to study at Oxford University as members of Linacre College. The majority return to Africa, where they have moved into key leadership roles in their home countries. More recently, two additional scholarships for African students have been set up by alumni of Linacre College and, just this year, a new Linacre-Rhodes scholarship has been established, with its first candidate due to begin in October 2014.

Linacre will therefore offer 4 annual scholarships for African students, and will strive to continue developing these opportunities, to inspire a new generation of African leaders. Linacre is Margaret’s post-graduate college, and Classic Africa is a proud supporter of the project. Any Classic Africans interested in offering support should please contact us for details.
