Sighting of the Quarter in the Linyanti Reserve, Botswana

As Kwando's guests approached the boat jetty one September afternoon in anticipation of their game-viewing activity, both guide and guests were astonished to find a group of lions queued up on the end of the dock, seemingly awaiting their captain. Taking matters into their own paws, the lioness made a brief attempt at boarding the boat, but was discouraged by the motion of the floor. The sub-adults looked on with interest. Realizing they weren't going to be invited to join the sunset cruise, the lioness clambered into the water, with her offspring close behind, and they swam off up the channel!
