Mana Pools Park

The Mana Pools National Park is arguably Zimbabwe's wildest and most scenic wildlife sanctuary. Inhospitable and unsuitable for agriculture, the Zambezi Valley represents a vast and beautiful wilderness area flanked by the tail-end of the Great Rift Valley and traversed by the mighty Zambezi River.

The Zambezi is the fifth largest river in Africa, and one of the most unspoiled major waterways in the world. By virtue of both its outstanding natural beauty, and wealth of wildlife, the Mana Pools area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. The raw beauty, abundant game, and adventurous activities place the Mana Pools on just about any experienced safari travelers short list of favorite African destinations.
