Camp Updates

Qorokwe in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, officially opened at the beginning of December. We featured this new camp in our last edition of Classic Africa News and promised to pass on Pierre's impressions as it was among the camps he visited in October. He found the camp to be a very luxurious "classic plus" property with a prime location, overlooking a beautiful lagoon. The wildlife-rich concession is directly adjacent to Chitabe, one of the Delta's strongest game viewing camps. With this combination of advantages, Qorokwe is poised to become one of the most coveted Okavango Delta camps.

Tongabezi in the Lower Zambezi Valley, Zambia, recently upgraded its fire pit and dining deck. The reception area, shop and dining room have also had a makeover. Next on the list...the pool and gym.

In Rwanda, Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge has undergone a significant transformation. All the cottages, suites and main lodge area have been made over. and are looking fresh, elegant and beautiful.

Mashatu Lodge is in the process of being refurbished to update its soft furnishings and décor, as well as the re-positioning of the camp pool to a new, more exclusive and private area.

The newly-refurbished Savuti Camp, located in the private Linyanti Concession along the Savuti Channel in Botswana, has received an extensive softs upgrade including stylish new interiors, improved lighting, expanded decking and new walkways.
