Himba Women Arrive at Serra Cafema Camp

On a late November morning the staff at Serra Cafema, Namibia, were taken by surprise when two Himba ladies arrived in camp. They were not from the local communities, spoke no English, and a translator reported that they had walked an extremely long way from their village to visit the camp that they heard pays homage to the Himba culture. Management gave them a guided tour of the camp and the ladies were excited to see how their jewelry and adornments are used as decorative inspiration in the rooms and the main area. The ladies were also introduced to some fortunate guests who were in camp at the time.
