Kalamu Trails

Kalamu Trails is an exciting three-night walking adventure into the remote wilderness of the South Luangwa National Park. The trail takes place in the Luamfwa Concession where guests explore the untouched banks of the Luangwa River and its tributaries, accompanied by an expert guide and armed scout. The first night is spent in the luxurious Kalamu Lagoon Camp and guests are introduced to the area with an evening game drive on the southern banks of the Luangwa River. Subsequent nights are spent at the unique Kalamu Star-bed Camp and the rustic Chinengwe Riverbed Camp from where guests discover the wilderness on the northern banks of the Luangwa River by foot. This remote and wild corner of the South Luangwa National Park is a privilege to explore and will combine well with a stay at any of Zambia's other great national parks.

Ballooning on the Busanga Plains

With the opening of the 2010 dry season in Kafue National Park, the grandeur of the vast Busanga Plains can now be experienced from the lofty heights of a hot air balloon! Ballooning provides a unique birds-eye perspective of this stunning wilderness area with its attendant wildlife and creates a perfect platform for aerial photography. The ballooning adventure is followed by a delicious champagne breakfast in the bush before heading back to Shumba, Kapinga or Busanga Camp.
