Pierre's 2009 Safari

Pierre recently returned from another incredible educational safari to southern Africa, focusing this year on South Africa's Western Cape Province, the South Luangwa and Kafue National Parks in Zambia, and Mana Pools and Hwange National Parks in Zimbabwe. Margaret graciously stayed home to look after clients and take care of William.

Below are Pierre's reports on the various destinations that he visited, as well as some thoughts on safari photography. Click here for a gallery of Pierre's photos from the trip.

If you would like to download the photos as a slide show, with music, click here. Instructions: wait for the whole file to download (you can keep track of the progress at the bottom left of the page in your web browser). The total file size is 21.65MB, and the download may take a minute. Once the download is complete, go to "File" on your browser's menu, and click "Save as". Save the file onto your Desktop, then go to your Desktop and double click the icon. As the slideshow opens, you will see a message box asking if you want to view the Slideshow in full screen mode. Click yes, then sit back and enjoy the show (make sure the volume is turned up on your computer). At the end of the slideshow, to exit full screen mode, just click the "Esc" button on your keyboard (top left corner on the keyboard).
