Airline Updates

Air travel to Africa is coming back fast!

United’s new non-stop flight from Newark to Johannesburg has been operating since June 3rd. It departs Newark at 8:45pm and arrives in Johannesburg at 5:45pm the following day.

 

 

Delta Air Lines and Kenya Airways’ newly announced codeshare agreement will offer connections on Delta-operated flights from New York (JFK) to Cape Town, Harare and Kigali, via Nairobi.

 

  

 

  

Qatar Airways have confirmed their arrival into Zimbabwe as from the 6th of August 2021.

 

 

  

 

 

Kenya Airways is now offering 3 direct flights per week from New York to Nairobi.

 

 

 

Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) will increase the number of flights between Tanzania and Amsterdam from 5 to 6 weekly, including Saturday. 

 

David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Re-opens

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust resumed their 11am public visits on July 12th. Nairobi’s famous elephant orphanage has been closed to the public since the onset of the pandemic, and the announcement of its reopening is great news for city residents and visitors alike. Advance bookings are required.
