Plastic Bottles into School Desks!

Lemala Camps and Lodges (Kuria Hills Lodge, Nanyukie, Ngorongoro Tented Camp)  operate entirely plastic free, however they collect all plastic brought onto their properties by third parties, and convert it into school furniture. Each collection bin includes enough plastic to create one school desk and two chairs. To date Lemala has donated 45 student desks and chair sets and 4 teachers' desks to the local schools. And, as a result, approximately 1,800 pounds of plastic bottles have been kept from polluting Tanzania's rivers and national parks.
