In July 2020, The Retreat by Heaven will open 8 new luxurious villas in the heart of Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, offering the ideal location for the beginning or end to a luxury gorilla trekking safari. Each of the villas will offer a private saltwater heated plunge pool, bedrooms with full living areas and a total of nearly 400 square feet of indoor and outdoor private living space. 

Governor's Mugie House, will be opening in early 2020. The house is perched on a hilltop overlooking the vast landscape of Kenya's Laikipia Plateau. It features nine individual stone cottages and a main house, all with open log fireplaces. An infinity pool offers sweeping views of a waterhole frequented by a variety of wildlife from the 40,000-acre private Mugie Conservancy.

Rwanda's Bisate Lodge will be building a day lounge to accommodate varying transfer schedules in and out of the property. Set to open on May 1st, the lounge will provide a space for guests to shower and change, savor a light meal, shop for curios, enjoy a massage or simply relax before checking in or out.

Ellerman House Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, is launching Africa's first Sleep Rooms, designed by an internationally-renowned Elite Wellness Consultant to promote rest and relaxation. All electronics have been removed from the selected rooms, while creating a space to restore, recover and regenerate. Guests will be welcomed with a Sleep Pack, including Lemon Verbena & Argan Oil Bath Salts and sleep-enhancing Stillness Body Butter, Lavender & Neroli Pillow and Linen Mist, comforting eye masks and CBD Chamomile tea. The Wellness team will guide them through Ellerman House's signature Sleep Ritual, scientifically designed to help the body naturally increase melatonin and evoke deep sleep. 

Along with the plethora of activities offered at Mashatu in Botswana's Tuli Block, including mountain bike safaris, horse safaris, walking, vehicle safaris and underground photographic hides, guests can now learn to tell their safari story through videography. "Mashatu in Motion" has been conceived by professional wildlife filmmakers, Wim and Mags Vorster, who have created films for National Geographic, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel. Guests will learn how to bring their safaris to life on the screen through filming and editing techniques.

Camp Jabulani in South Africa's Sabi Sand was one of the special film locations selected to shoot Netflix.com's hottest new movie release, "Holiday in the Wild." This quirky holiday rom-com stars actor, Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis, who stands out not only as an actress but as an ambassador for elephant conservation. The film excites with its jolly festive season spirit, but also shines a spotlight on Africa's beauty and the struggles facing Africa's elephants. Viewers will catch a glimpse of the Jabulani elephant stables and the surrounding reserve, as well as a few members of the Jabulani Herd.
