Loisaba Researchers Spot Rare Black Leopards

The San Diego Zoo Global program and Kenya's Loisaba Conservancy recently reported that images of very rare black leopards have been captured on camera traps in the conservancy and neighboring properties. "Melanism" is the result of a gene mutation that gives the animal's coat the appearance of being completely black in the daytime.
