Jacks Camp in the Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana, has recently won four impressive awards: 'Best Safari Camp in Africa,' 'Best Ecological Safari Camp,' 'Best Safari Camp Guiding Team,' and 'Best Safari Camp in Southern Africa.' The honors were bestowed at the Good Safari Guide Award Ceremony. The awards provide peer group recognition of outstanding achievements in the safari industry.

Singita Private Game Reserve, Sabi Sand, South Africa, took top honors at the recent regional chapter of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Young Chefs and Sommeliers competition. Singita also received two awards at the Good Safari Guide Award Ceremony: 'Best Safari Accommodation Group' and 'Best Safari Camp Cuisine.'

Travel + Leisure Magazine has recently honored the winners of the 2009 "World's Best Awards," a T+L readers' poll. South Africa was well represented taking home top honors in many prestigious categories.

Congratulations to Bushman's Kloof, named the 'best hotel in the world' in the Top 100 Hotels category and to Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge which took 3rd place honors in the same category. Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa finished 1st in the City Hotels category in Africa and the Middle East, and The Saxon took 2nd place. Congratulations are also in order to Cape Town for finishing 2nd in the Top Cities Overall category and 1st in the Top Cities in Africa and the Middle East category.
