Lower Zambezi Conservation - Luxury Zambia Safaris

This year, Sausage Tree Camp and Potato Bush Camp (Zambia) raised over $40,000 for the protection of the Lower Zambezi National Park through initiating a "Conservation Levy,” holding a "Corporate Golf Day,” an off-road 4x4 event (the "Elephant Charge"), and a fishing competition (“The Valley Classic”).

Luxury South Luangwa Safaris - Education in Zambia

In the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia, Tafika Camp’s owners  John and Carol Coppinger founded “Project Luangwa” to assist local Mfuwe schools plagued with  large class sizes of up to 100 pupils, too few qualified teachers, and too few text books (often 1 book in each subject for the entire class to share). Their newest initiative is to provide ZeduPads – handheld digital tablets loaded with the Zambian curriculum for grades 1 to 7, with interactive lessons. Each ZeduPad costs just $230 and, as the lessons are carefully planned with the class split into groups, can be shared by six children.  Donations to the project can be made here.
