Sample 6: The Ultimate Serengeti / Mara Safari

Day 1

Arrive Arusha Kilimanjaro International Airport under your own arrangements.

You will be met on arrival by a representative who will escort you to the VIP Lounge. Here you will be assisted with passport and immigration formalities, and then baggage collection and customs, and to your waiting transfer driver.

You will be met and transferred by private vehicle to Legendary Lodge.

Day 1-2

Spend one night at Legendary Lodge in one Garden Cottage, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, house wines, beers, local spirits, water, juice and soft drinks, laundry service, mini-bar and fruit basket, complimentary internet).

Day 2

This morning you will be collected and transferred by private vehicle to Arusha airstrip (10 minutes).

Transfer by shared charter aircraft to Lake Manyara airstrip (45 minutes), where you will be met on arrival by your private safari guide and vehicle.

Enjoy a game drive in the scenic Lake Manyara National Park before continuing on to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, arriving in time for cocktails.

Day 2-4

Spend two nights at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge in one suite, on a full board basis (including accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, and laundry).

Day 3

Early this morning your private guide will take you on a "Crater Descent" into the Ngorongoro Crater to experience the beauty and abundant wildlife of one of Africa's most impressive natural wonders.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera on earth, and also one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, roughly 25,000 large mammals (including the "Big Five") wander the plains, lakes and forests of ‘the land that time forgot". The saline waters of Lake Magadi attract both the lesser and the greater flamingo, with flocks of several thousand forming when the lake is low.

Day 4

This morning your private guide will transfer you to Manyara Airstrip (roughly 2.5 hours) where you will bid him farewell.

You will be collected and transferred by shared charter flight to Kogatende Airstrip for Sayari Camp, departing at 11:35am and arriving at 1:00pm.

Days 4-7

Spend three nights at Sayari Camp in one Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all drinks (except champagne, cellar wines, premium brand spirits), park fees, laundry service, scheduled open vehicle game drives, and short walking safaris).

* You will enjoy the services of a private vehicle and guide while at Sayari Camp, to maximize your flexibility
with respect to the timing, duration, and focus of your activities. 

Day 7

Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter aircraft to Tarime Airstrip, departing at 9:00am and arriving at 11:25am. You will be met and transferred by air conditioned mini-bus to Migori Airstrip (crossing the border from Tanzania into Kenya), from where you will be transferred by shared charter aircraft to the Maasai Mara for Mara Nyika Camp, departing at 12:15pm and arriving at 12:45pm. You will enjoy lunch upon arrival at camp.

Days 7-10

Spend three nights at Mara Nyika in one Tented Suite, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, non-premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, scheduled wildlife viewing activities on Naboisho Conservancy, a game drive into the Mara Reserve, and laundry).

* You will enjoy the services of a private vehicle and guide while at Mara Nyika Camp, to maximize your flexibility with respect to the timing, duration, and focus of your activities.

Day 10

Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter aircraft to Nairobi Wilson Airport (one hour). Connect by shared charter aircraft to Chyulu Airstrip for Ol Donyo Camp (one hour).

Day 10-13

Spend three nights at Ol Donyo Lodge in one suite, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, scheduled activities (including horseback riding), meals, conservation fees, daily laundry, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (excluding champagne).

* You will enjoy the services of a private vehicle and guide while at Ol Donyo, to maximize your flexibility with respect to the timing, duration, and focus of your activities. Including a day excursion to scenic Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 13

Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter aircraft to Nairobi Wilson Airport (one hour).

You will be met and transferred by private vehicle to Four Points Hotel at Nairobi International Airport (one
hour).

Spend the early evening realzing at the Four Points Nairobi Airport Hotel in one Standard Room.

Later this evening you will be collected and transferred to the international terminal, where a representative will assist you through check-in and to the boarding gate for your onward flight.

From this point you will depart under your own arrangements (details to be advised).
