Pierre's Safari to Zambia and Zimbabwe
The feature that always strikes me about a safari to Zimbabwe and/or Zambia is the sense of wilderness and adventure. There is nowhere else where one has as much opportunity to get away from motorized vehicles and experience the bush as a participant, not merely an observer; where one feels quite as close to the wilderness and wildlife around you. It’s also hard not to be impressed by the spectacular Zambezi River, and the beautiful floodplains and that surround it, hemmed in by the walls of the Great Rift Valley. Or the abundant wildlife of the South Luangwa and Hwange Parks, and the sheer remoteness of Kafue. And, if there is a better spot for sundowners than a sandbank in the middle of the mighty Zambezi River, I have yet to experience it!
