Luggage Allowance Update on Charter Flights in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia

Good News! Passengers in southern Africa are now allowed to take a slightly larger check-in bag measuring 14 inches wide x 12 inches high x 28 inches long. Bags are allowed to have a rigid structure at the base – including wheels and/or a collapsible handle, such as the High Sierra Fairlead (www.highsierra.com). Those flying within Namibia must still take soft-sided luggage measuring 16 inches wide x 12 inches high and 24 inches long, such as the Battinkill Classic (www.orvis.com), Beretta Waxwear Duffel (www.berrettausa.com), or Dalix Adventure Sport (www.dalix.com).  Remember that all legs of your journey offer a laundry service, which helps significantly in keeping clothing requirements down.

Covid-19 Protocols Relaxed

All southern and east African countries have simplified their Covid-19 protocols for entry. Passengers are no longer required to obtain a vaccine certificate QR code to present to immigration officials (with the exception of Tanzania) and health forms are no longer required for any country. Requirements change suddenly, however, so please refer to your checklist that we will provide for the most updated information prior to your safari. 

No more Visa Fees for Zambia

Zambia has just announced that it will no longer charge Visa fees to enter the country. The $50, per person, fee has been terminated, which will make border crossings between Zimbabwe and Zambia quicker and easier.
