Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages Renovations

The thirteen newly renovated cottages of Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages in Kenya are open and welcoming guests. Nestled in mature gardens in the heart of Karen in Nairobi, the property offers a tranquil setting in a convenient location with AFEW Giraffe Sanctuary, and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust within a twenty minute drive and the Karen Blixen Museum directly next door to the property. The lodge provides a swimming pool for guest use and the Poolside Restaurant, offering late night meals, early breakfasts, and everything in between.

New Spa at The Highlands

Inspired by a Maasai boma (cattle enclosure) the new spa at The Highlands, near Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater, is set to open in June 2022. Offering a barrel sauna and massage room, the spa will provide additional relaxation for guests after a day of hiking or game drives in Ngorongoro.

Angama Amboseli

A new camp is set to be built in the Kimana Sanctuary in southern Kenya, called Angama Amboseli. Kimana is a 14,000-acre wildlife corridor that links the greater Amboseli, Chyulu Hills and Tsavo ecosystems. Site development will begin soon, and more information will follow in the coming months.

Installation of Walkways at Qorokwe

Qorokwe, in Botswana's Okavango Delta, has installed new walkways throughout the camp. Connecting the rooms and the main area, the walkways are raised, with a few sections descending to just above ground level to facilitate animal movement. Walkway lights are being incorporated into the design, placed to allow for maximum privacy.

Toka Leya Rejuvenation

Toka Leya, near the Victoria Falls in Zambia, has resumed operations after a number of structural and design changes. In the main area this included reducing the size of the pool and installing stone cladding, expanding the deck towards the Zambezi River, and re-imagining the sitting and dining area. The rooms all have new canvas wraps (walls) and shade-net roofs, while the showers have been tiled. Soft furnishings, interiors and light fittings have also been updated.
