Property Updates

Duma Tau and Little Duma Tau
DumaTau, in Botswana's wildlife-rich Linyanti Reserve, is in the process of being updated and Little DumaTau created, with a grand opening set for August 2020. Décor will reflect the ancient migratory paths and the age of human exploration into Africa. The rooms will double in size and include a comfortable sitting area. Bathrooms will be larger with both indoor and outdoor showers. Cooling systems, a more expansive deck and a plunge pool will increase comfort levels during the warmer months. A wellness space and spa will be situated between the two camps, overlooking the Linyanti River, where guests can relax at the lap pool on the shaded deck, enjoy refreshments from the deli, and browse the trading store. The main area will boast a fire pit, an outside dining area and a "curiosity room" where guests can explore a rich archive of local scientific research. In addition, a Star Bed has been created under the immense expanse of the southern skies.

To celebrate its Jubilee (25 years) the entire Wolwedans Collection is currently undergoing a gradual re-fashioning and up-grade, with the process finishing in mid-2020. In addition to a new look with new infrastructure and soft furnishings, Wolwedans Star Beds will be introduced to take advantage of Africa's first "Dark Sky Reserve." Positioned atop a dune plateau with breathtaking 360° vistas, Star Beds will sleep up to 12 guests and enhance the activity-based portfolio at Wolwedans, which currently includes horse-riding, walking and e-Biking/fat bikes.

The Silo
The Silo in Cape Town has added several spectacular Villas, located in Bantry Bay and Clifton along Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, to their collection of Private Residences. These are considered some of the finest contemporary homes in South Africa based on their architectural design and art collections. The properties range in size from four to six bedrooms and offer stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean with private cinemas, games rooms, wine cellars, spa facilities, gyms and heated swimming pools. The Villas combine the privacy, freedom and comfort of one's own home with the amenities, staff and service standards of the acclaimed Silo Hotel.

Segera Farmhouse and its magnificent private gardens enjoy sweeping vistas and notable game-viewing. Dating back to the 1940s and nestled at the foot of Mount Kenya, the original homestead has been brought back to life with an exquisite refurbishment. Accommodating up to 9 people, the Farmhouse is a perfect spot for families and friends wanting to explore one of the most magnificent safari landscapes. Facilities include a swimming pool, multiple indoor and outdoor dining areas and lounges, a cinema/play room, and fully equipped private kitchen.

Wilderness Safaris Zimbabwe Camps – Online
Safari purists, block your ears: some of the last hold-out camps in Africa are about to start offering Wi-Fi as Wilderness Safaris' Mana Pools camps - ChikwenyaRuckomechi and Little Ruckomechi - are now "online" via satellite connection. In a smart compromise, however, reception is only available in the privacy of your room, not in common areas.
