"ASIMBONAGA" TRIBUTE TO MADIBA (NELSON MANDELA)

To mark the first anniversary of the passing of Nelson Mandela (Madiba), Johnny Clegg’s 1987 struggle song, "Asimbonanga", takes on a new meaning. The Zulu word asimbonanga translates to "we have not seen him,” referring to prohibition of the publication of images or depictions of Mandela during his imprisonment. Today, it is a call to the new South African generation to find inspiration in Mandela’s life and work to continue his legacy. In this music video, Johnny Clegg teaches the song to children and encourages them to make Madiba's dream for a thriving, united and democratic South Africa a reality. The video features the winners of the 2014 MySchool Choir competition from Riebeek College Girls' High School in Uitenhage, South Africa.

HWANGE ELEPHANTS MEET GOPRO...

Elephant Observations at Hwange National Park - Luxury Zimbabwe SafarisTechnology is literally nearly lost on these pachyderms that are clearly curious about the GoPro small digital point-of-view camera that was virtually imperceptibly mounted to photograph wild dog activity at a waterhole in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe. One of the elephants even put the camera in his mouth before spitting it out and giving it a few thumps with his foot on the ground. View a short clip about the fate of the GoPro here.
