Calling all World War II Veterans

On August 25th Pierre and Margaret hosted their annual "VJ Day Commemoration", to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the ending of the Second World War, and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed and achieved so much during the course of one of history's most significant chapters. The event has grown in popularity as word spreads, and 2012 saw our largest turnout yet, with 45 veterans (accompanied by family members) from across Connecticut and as far afield as Vermont.

If any Classic Africans in the North-East (or elsewhere!) are WWII veterans themselves, or have relatives who served in WWII and might be interested in attending the 2013 celebration, please be in touch so that we can discuss the logistics of having you join us. The event is both inspirational and fun, and we would be thrilled to include veterans from the Classic Africa community!
