Xigera Safari Lodge

The 11,000 acre Xigera private concession features a diverse combination of permanent channels, wooded islands, and seasonal floodplains, a mosaic that provides ideal habitat for a range of terrestrial and aquatic wildlife species. The area teems with red lechwe, and is rich in plains game and birdlife, while lion and leopard move between the islands, ambushing prey in the long grass and forests. When the annual flood recedes, herds of buffalo move into the area to take advantage of the lush floodplains.
