Best of Zimbabwe Wing Safari

 


Day 1

Arrive Johannesburg International Airport under your own arrangements and check in for your scheduled flight to Victoria Falls. You will be met at Victoria Falls Airport by a representative of our local partners and transferred by vehicle to Ilala Lodge.

Day 1-2

Spend one night at Ilala Lodge in a Standard Room, with breakfast included.

Day 2

This morning you will be collected from Ilala Lodge and transferred by vehicle to Victoria Falls Airport for your light charter aircraft flight to Makalolo Plains Camp in Hwange National Park.

Days 2-5

Spend three nights at Little Makalolo Plains Camp in a Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, high tea and hors d'oeuvres, all activities, refreshments while on activity, all non-premium brand beverages, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).

Day 5

Today you will be collected from Makalolo Plains Camp and transferred by light charter aircraft to Kariba Airstrip. You will be met and transferred to Musango Safari Camp on the shores of Lake Kariba.

Musango Safari Camp is situated in a private concession on its own island, just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park. Offering an abundance of wildlife from buffalo and elephant to the rare black rhino, Musango Safari Camp is also an ornithologist's paradise with a myriad of birds to be seen frequenting the bird baths in front of the lodge and rooms

Under thatch, the 8 large luxurious safari tents each have an en-suite bathroom built out of natural stone. The front verandahs offer panoramic views across the lake, of the Matusadona National Park and the mountains. The swimming pool area and the bar / lounge platform offers a tranquil place in which to view game during the mid-day period.

Activities include walks into the Matusadona National Park (where guides have an incredible success rate of locating the rare black rhino) and the nearby Game Sanctuary; game viewing by boat along the many inlets and creeks and casual canoe paddling up adjacent creeks where bird life is prolific and the scenery breathtaking. Musango also offers fishing (boats are fully equipped with tackle and bait, dinosaur fossil and early stone-age site visits, and birding trips. Morning visits to the nearby village may also be arranged and the Black Rhino orphanage, close to Musango, is well worth a visit.

Days 5-7

Spend two nights at Musango Camp in a Tented Room on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, high tea and hors d'oeuvres, all activities, refreshments while on activity, all non-premium brand beverages, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).

Day 7

Today you will be collected from Musango Camp and transferred to Kariba Airstrip. From Kariba you will be transferred by light charter aircraft to Ruckomechi Camp in the Mana Pools National Park.

Days 7-10

Spend three nights at Ruckomechi Camp in a Tented Room, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, high tea and hors d'oeuvres, all activities, refreshments while on activity, all non-premium brand beverages, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).

Day 10

Today you will be collected from Ruckomechi Camp and transferred by light charter aircraft to Harare International Airport. Check in for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg. From this point you will depart under your own arrangements.

Around $5,170 per person sharing.
