Wilderness Safaris is thrilled that their Jao, Mombo and Little Mombo, Vumbura Plains, Xigera and Savuti Camps in Botswana all made Condé Nast Traveler's 16th annual Gold List for 2010, which is considered to be "the ultimate annotated guide to the world's finest properties and cruise lines.

Three of our other portfolio properties have been included in Condé Nast Traveller's (UK) Gold List for 2010: Ellerman House in Cape Town was included as one of only 3 properties in Africa, the Middle East & Indian Ocean under the section 'Best Hotels for Service'. Le Quartier Français in the Cape Winelands and Bushmans Kloof in the Western Cape were included under 'Best Hotels for Food' in Africa, the Middle East & Indian Ocean.

The River Club was the recipient of a Best of Zambia Award recently, garnering the Heritage and Culture Award. This category aims to recognize tourism operations that cultivate a greater understanding of Zambian history, heritage and/or culture.

Benguerra Lodge is proud of its accolade in the November/December 2009 Issue of the British Airways First Life Magazine: Best Hotels - The Ultimate Beach Bar. To quote: "The Plaza Athéné in Paris was an obvious choice, as were Dukes and Claridges in London. But simplicity wins out. 'The bar at Benguerra Lodge on Benguerra Island, Mozambique, is an old dhow, says travel writer Lisa Grainger. 'Every night the barman turns on a little Mozambiquan music and serves fresh pina coladas and cold beer, alongside bowls of freshly roasted local cashew nuts. And between sips you can go for a dip in the ocean.'
